Correction of Penoscrotal Webbing

(aka Turkey Neck)

What exactly does a scrotal z-plasty do?  Scrotal z-plasty is the name sometimes given to the procedure to correct penoscrotal webbing.  See below.

Patient had an aggressive circumcision at birth. He has hair on the base of the penis that he shaved, upper scrotum attached to the base of penis and a penoscrotal web (turkey neck) of entire lower surface of penis to the glans (head) giving the appearance of a short penis and deformed scrotum.

While most qualified urologists and perhaps even plastic-reconstructive surgeons should be able to perform this procedure, tDr. Whitehead in New York is known to have successfully performed this procedure.

Pre-Operative Pre-Operative Post-Operative

Result: Complete correction of penoscrotal webbing (turkey neck).

Please note post operative normal appearing penis and penoscrotal junction.

I had a lot of scrotal tissue that went up the underside of my penis. This resulted in a penoscrotal web (a "sail" or "web") of tissue that connected the centre of my penis to my scrotum. It basically ran along the raphe line (seam) and was always getting hurt and raw. It connected up the penile shaft and connected into the frenulum, making it all very tight (when I was erect.)  This was totally corrected by the penoscrotal surgery, which I'm very pleased with.
