Considering
Re-CircumcisionBecause the number of individuals considering having a re-circumcision, usually to tighten the circumcision and/or remove the frenulum has increased considerably, we have added this new section of the CIRCLIST website.
Re-circumcised to Tighten Infant Circ
I've managed to get some photos of my circ two days after my
re-circumcision. Since it was a revision the doctor was limited in the technique and the
skin that he was left to work with. There is still a lot of bruising and swelling which he
tells me will be gone in the next couple of days. It is not at all sore even though it
looks that way. I had a little discomfort during the first night following surgery but
apart form that it was a simple and painless.
It's been about 6 months since the operation and I am quite pleased with the results. I have included a few pictures (below) and as you can see the scar left by the plastic surgeon is hardly noticeable. I feel that he did a good job repairing my first circ. A lot of the excess skin from underneath was removed but there is ample shaft skin remaining for erections without discomfort. My lament is similar to many others - I wish I'd had the courage to have it fixed earlier. The medical staff were most professional and supportive and my apprehension about being embarrassed throughout the operation was quite unnecessary.
Thanks to everyone on CIRCLIST for their support and encouragement!

Re-Circumcision to Remove Frenulum (Frenectomy)
I'm
considering a re-circumcision to mostly just remove my frenulum. I was
circumcised as a baby, like most American boys, but the frenulum which on many
boys doesn't develop at all, seems to be a problem for me. I'm attaching a
photo of guy with the say problem. You can see how the glans or head of
the penis when erect is pulled down by a short frenulum. Mine is the just
the same. The frenulum appears normal, but simply too short to accommodate
my erection. However, a friend of mine thinks it could be a skin
bridge. In any case, I hope to get it looked at by a urologist and
clipped out completely to resolve this final remnant of my foreskin.
Considering
Third Circumcision.
A few days ago someone sent a question about a re-circ. I have the same problem. I was circed for the first time 2 years ago, high and very loose by my own wish. At this time I didn't know anything about high and tight and things like that but I have heard about circumcisions being done too tight, so I decided to get a loose circ. The visual result was not good, with the glans half covered. So I underwent a second circumcision a half year later. I had lots of swelling, bleeding and discomfort. You can see the result in the attached picture.
However, I am now thinking about a new re-circumcision to remove the irregular scar and to tighten it a bit more. It seems that surgeons in my country do not like to do them tight.

Restored Foreskin Gets Re-Circumcised
I was lucky enough to receive a routine infant circumcision. I'm shown at the left in a photo of my early circumcised state. However, not realizing my good fortune, I did attempt to restore a semblance of a foreskin, using just a tape ring for approximately one year. I stopped almost a year and a half ago.Unfortunately, I fell victim to the claims of the anti-circ movement and spent a year of my life restoring what, those who have seen it say, appears to be a "natural" foreskin. As I've written before, a number of changes occurred. The color, texture and sensitivity of the glans and inner skin became quite different. Is different better? I don't think so. The increased sensitivity came mostly in the form of an uncomfortable tenderness, becoming prone to injury during sexual activity. I learned of the "joys" of a sticky, moist glans and inner skin, trapped hairs and, to my horror, occasional problems with unpleasant odor. When I was snugly circumcised, I never once remember getting the dreaded "sniff test" prior to being orally stimulated. My former comfortably-snug circumcised status has not magically returned after ceasing my efforts 18 months ago. That will require a scalpel, I am sure.
Above you can see my completely restored state. You will also notice that am a real 'grower'. When flaccid (soft) I'm very small and completely covered with foreskin, but I grow to a quite respectable size when erect and while the skin can be pulled forward to cover the glans during this state, usually peels back behind the glans and bunches up much like the typical uncircumcised male. This great variation in size, I fear, will make it difficult to achieve a tight circumcision when I am soft. You will also notice in the last photo that while I was able to restore my foreskin, the frenulum, which was either removed at birth or never developed after my RIC, is still gone (fortunately.)
To make a long story short, I asked my doctor to refer me to a good urologist. My appointment was this past Friday. I had fully expected to be told that there was no real problem and not to worry. To my great delight, the doctor took one look and recommended circumcision. Several decisions to be made regarding how high and tight I want it, and the dreaded restored foreskin will be removed once and for all. Here are some additional pics of measurements I have been experimenting with as the doctor has indicated he will do the circumcision however I wish it to be done.
As soon as my circumcision is performed, I will send more pictures and information.
Regards
Hart
For those worried about skin rollover when soft they should consider the amount of growth with an erection. I feel that a reasonably tight skin when erect is what is important for most. A tight skin at all times seems impossible. If you were just recently circumcised, it will likely stop rolling over when healing is complete. See David's story on this site for more info on this. Of course, if you have lots of variation in size, it may always need to have some cover fully soft. See pix below.
Re-Circumcised
I've just been circumcised! Re-circumcised almost to the day of my original
infant circ - 26 November.The
appointment was for three o'clock in the afternoon. just enough time to leave
work and call in at home to draw a biro line around where I wanted the skin
removed. I thought the doc would have a surgical marker, so I just placed a few
dots on the skin.
Next
a twenty minute drive to the surgery where the doctor was waiting. No time to
panic. I heard the instruments clattering in the trays and then he called me in.
"Drop your daks and climb on the bed," he said unceremoniously.
Then he started getting the anaesthetic ready. "Wait a minute, you haven't marked where it's going to be!" I said.
"Good idea, I'm glad you've left that. We'll do it now." He got a texta pen and drew a rough line around shaft where I'd marked. "Now we need a second line, because we're going to remove the skin in between." He then drew another rather crooked line on my remaining inner skin. I asked him to straighten it up and he drew another beside it. I hoped he could cut straighter than he could draw!I
asked him to remove my frenulum. He said it already had been! (A little
knowledge is obviously a dangerous thing)Then the operation began. The
anaesthetic was incredible. Instantaneous! And just a pinprick of a needle
stick. I didn't feel anything while he was removing the skin.
The
nurse came in and made light conversation. "How are youu going back there?
Don't be embarrassed, I've seen hundreds of "em. And I've been married for
15 years." The doc himself said very little. Except that this style of
operation was called the "bloodless circ". Then, "I don't know
why they call it that - it's everywhere!"
Then
I heard the electrocautery device being used - again and again. He said there
were literally hundreds of little veins that did not self close the way a
child's would. Still the electrocautery was buzzing.
All
this while I was studying the white ceiling. They began the stitching. I don't
know how many they put in, but eventually the nurse called out, "Lucky
last."
I
got off the bed and put my "daks" on again.
There
was no problem walking. And I easily drove the twenty minutes home. Then I
walked down to the local bottleshop for as much Jim Beam as I could afford,
waiting for the onslaught of terrible pain. (And remembering Charles's eloquent
testimonial for the soothing effects of the bottle.)
The
pain never came. And there was no need for the considerable investment in
Panadol I'd made either. Neither was there any bleeding. He must have known his
stuff! I just hope he can cut straight. And that he hasn't taken all the inner
lining - some is okay, though.
I
got the courage to look at my penis. It was in some kind of "dick
sling", held like a splint by tape down to my balls and suspended by tape
up to my belly. It doesn't look so bad.
Late
today I can take it off. I hope I'm not going to be dissappointed (or even
outraged!).

Recirced
Wednesday at 3pm. This is Friday 11 am.
I've
read that guys who've had penile enlargement often have a lot of trouble at
first adjusting to having something that big between their legs! That's how I
feel - like I've had one of those dermal fat injections. My cock hangs low and
is thick and heavy with dark bruising from the knob to the base. It isn't really
sore, just droopy and pendulous - leading to that characteristic bow-legged walk
of the newly circumcised. Normally I've got a very flared head. Now the swelling
has filled that in entirely, turning the cock and head into one smooth black and
blue torpedo shape. Big, but bloated. Actually, I like it this big - if only it
wasn't so "indisposed".
It
was with considerable trepidation that I soaked the bandages off yesterday.
After all, my doctor doesn't exactly have bedside manner. "This technique
is like skinning a lizard," he informed me at one time during the
operation. And he couldn't even draw a straight line! I had to correct it for
him. What the hell would it look like?
In
the bath, with the bandages off many of my fears were allayed. My dick certainly
looked very "cut". The skin hadn't joined in any way and the edges
looked quite raw. I couldn't count the number of stitches. There were heaps of 'em
though.
Were
the lines straight? My infant circ had a perfect brown ring that went straight
around then came to a kind of V-shape on the underside of the head where the
frenulum would have been. Now on this recirc, the cut was quite good - but not
ring-perfect. However, I guess it is straight enough at first or even second
glance. And it's pretty swollen.
How
much inner lining had been left? I was always of a mind to remove more inner
lining, but leaving enough to be not totally flying in the face of circlist
advice! The old circ had about 10 mm (just under 1/2 inch) of inner lining below
the coronal ridge and about 25 mm underside. After leaving my balls, the old
raphe line / seam was crazily distorted and about 20 mm below the scar on the
underside it suddenly zigzagged all over the place before joining the scar line
in the middle dead centre!
I
had the doc remove all the skin on the underside from where the raphe began its
crazy zig-zag up to a few mm above v-shape on the old scar line. On the top
side, he drew the line just above the old circ scar below the coronal ridge and
I drew another line about a further 10mm back up the shaft. So the total trim
was just under a half inch on the top and one inch on the bottom. This is with
the penis *very* retracted and the skin wrinkly (remember the instruments were
a-clattering!). On a stiff, I reckon that would be 20 mm off on the top(corona)
and 40mm off underside (frenulum).
In
the bath, it was hard to tell exactly what it would look like. Right now it
looked like a dead donkey's dick! But I could see there was about 7mm of inner
lining dead centre top sweeping round to about 20 mm dead centre underside.
Before, on "softcock" I had a little ruffle of skin behind the
head on the old circ. There was only a few mm of inner skin visible. Recirced,
the inner skin seemed to be stretched all the time - to its full extent as
above. The old stiff cock was tight looking but could actually be moved 10mm or
20 mm when gripped firmly and the skin did come easily up into the "neck
area" - although never over the knob.
I've
had one or two full erections since Wednesday (mostly last night). The stitches
pull tight fit to burst and there are little pinpoints of sharp pain from them.
The erections have happened at night and I've rushed bent double to the fridge
for the frozen peas!
Frozen
peas have been my best friends these last few days. They are the equivalent of
what boys at my old country town high school said matron at the base hospital
did to any recalcitrant erection on male her patients - hit it with a cold
spoon!
So
how tight during erections in the day? Remember it's still bloated, so I've
never been game to have a full blown boner. But 3/4 standing to attention ( at
90 degrees to the body) and the skin is immobile and shiny, pulling on the
balls. Just yet, the dick seems unable to really make the final tight pull up to
45 degrees. Currently, though the cut is still immoveable and traumatised. (the
stitches are more visible now - there are 28) Maybe it will be a bit looser when
it heals. I hope not though!

Well,
part 3 is about fear as well (since fear is a current thread)
As the swelling goes down on the fourth day I am prey to a mounting fear.
What if I didn't get enough off to keep it tight?
On
the first three days the fear was, had I chopped off too much - especially a
concern during those nocturnal erections. Swelling added about 1/2 inch to the
girth of my penis.
Great
fear while it lasted, but I am now hoping that it wasn't just the swelling that
was making the shaftskin immobile! In Paul's words, I hope it's not going to be
"baaaack".
Moments
of panic have been greatly helped by the advice of those who've been through it
before and/or who are more knowledgeable. I've seized on any advice I've
received. Been checking my email twice a day!
Thanks
especially to Paul, jb (whose original Forum article I credit with making me
take the steps towards being at least somewhat circumsexual), Vernon and Brian.

Circumcised Six Times
The
whole saga is posted on BME, but here's the nickel tour. Blanket statement: I
never took any pain killers because I never needed them. No real discomfort any
of the times the deed was done.
Circ #1, Age 15: Freehand/general anesthesia by a heart surgeon who did
the job as a professional courtesy to my father (who was a doctor). When I awoke
and got back to the privacy of my room, I saw that I had a gauze flap taped to
my lower abdomen. It hung down over my penis. When I lifted the flap, I saw that
there were NO dressings on my penis at all. There was some swelling and a row of
absorbable stitches bristling around a cut line about 1" back from the
glans. The frenulum was fully intact and terminated at the circ scar. The
aftercare regimen prescribed was daily warm soaking baths, then Vaseline dabbed
over the suture line and wear briefs. There was never any bleeding, but during
the first week, oozing caused the briefs to stick to the wound, so I had to soak
the briefs free in the next soaking bath. First JO's after about two weeks.
Never came so much in my life and loved the new feelings from my exposed glans.
I was thrilled until the healing was complete. I soon found that, when soft,
there was enough slack skin to roll over the corona and cover about 1/3 to 1/2
of the glans. I hated the feeling of the skin rolling over the glans as it made
me think, "It's baaaaaack!"
Circ
#2, Age 20: Freehand/general anesthesia by a urologist recommended by my
"family doctor." The penis was heavily wrapped in bandages when I
awoke (the tip of the glans showed through a dime-size hole for peeing). After
about 3 days, I got to see what he had done. Instead of cutting around the
current circ scar and making a second cut farther up the shaft toward my body,
this guy removed almost half of the remaining inner skin. The new scar was about
1/2" back from the glans on the underside and about 3/4" back at one
point on the top (not the straightest cut in the world). Remember how I said my
frenulum originally extended about 1" up the shaft from the glans? Well, he
had preserved the full frenulum, but since the new scar was only 1/2" back
from the glans on the underside, the doc kind of bunched up the frenulum so I
had an unsightly "turkey wattle" there. Now, when the penis was soft,
only a little skin rolled over the corona and there was substantial bunching of
slack behind the glans. I was much happier, but dismayed about the Turkey
wattle. Also, the bunch of slack skin soon started giving me that old "It's
baaaack" thing again. I wanted the glans to be completely "in the
clear" no matter how small my penis got (like from swimming in a cold
lake).
Circ
#2 "Touch-up," Age 23: The army behind me, I had had finally
"come out" as a gay man and found a gay doctor. I told him that I
didn't like that wad of frenulum/scar tissue on the underside of my penis and
asked him if he'd clean it up. He agreed. The job was done under local
anesthesia on an out-patient basis in a hospital E-room. His cut was centered
and went about 1/3 of the way around my penis, The wattle was gone and so was
every vestige of my frenulum. I could have watched but didn't because I was
afraid I'd come off like a perv of some sort.
Circ
#3, Age 42: Freehand/local anesthesia by a urologist in LA (outpatient @ a local
hospital). I told the doc that I wanted "three fingers" worth of
shaftskin removed. He was only willing to take off "two fingers" worth
for fear of damaging me by removing too much, but since I'd traveled all the way
to LA from Minnesota, I settled for it. This was the doc who suggested removing
skin from around the BASE of the penis in an effort to preserve as much non
hair-bearing shaftskin as possible. What he did was move the point where the
scrotum attached to the underside of the penis back about an inch. When this job
healed up, the scar line around the base was about 1" out from the body
with the underside being scrotal skin (tightened to conform to the shape of the
shaft until it reached the new "leading edge" of the scrotal sack.
Circ
#4, Age 45: Freehand/local anesthesia by a plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills. He
took off that "third finger" of shaftskin that the previous doctor had
been unwilling to remove (also from around the base). My new "base
scar" was about 1/2" out from my body, hence much less conspicuous.
Still got some bunching of slack behind the glans when soft and hated the
feeling.
Circ
#5, Age 47: Freehand/local anesthesia by the same plastic surgeon. It took me a
while to get up nerve to call the doc again, fearing that he'd think I was too
weird. When I finally summoned up enough courage, I told him that I wanted to be
recircumcised so the "base scar" would be right where the penis joins
the body. He said that since I'd had no problems before and seemed to know
exactly what I wanted, he'd do the job. I was pretty happy with this one for
quite a while. No overt "bunching" behind the glans anymore, but there
WERE major wrinkles in the shaftskin when soft. My dream had always been to have
SMOOTH shaftskin, even when my penis was its softest (like many of my neonatally
circumcised peers).
BAD
IDEA, Age 49: A friend of mine's doc had prescribed Prostaglandin (an injectable
erection stimulant) for his flagging hard-ons. I had no problem getting hard,
but have always been a pig for pleasure and thought this stuff might be fun
("super woody!"). My friend warned me that if the erection didn't go
down in about two hours, go see a doc. Well, it didn't go down, but I was dumb
enough to think that it eventually would. I'd never had an adverse side-effect
from anything before in my life. Well, after 36 hours of being hard as a rock, I
went to a hospital. The doc (urologist) gave me some shots, but they didn't
work, so he rushed me into surgery (general anesthesia). The problem with having
an erection that long is that the capillaries through which blood normally
escapes literally clot shut, leaving no way for blood to get out of the engorged
penis. To make a long story short, getting my penis to go down required two
surgeries, both involving making "shunts" through which blood could
escape. The doc said that the second, more radical procedure might render me
impotent, "But right now, we're trying to save your penis." The good
news is that I'm not completely impotent. I still can get erections, but I've
literally lost 1" in erection length. I suspect it's because the spongy
tissue turned into non-elastic scar tissue due to the trauma it had suffered. My
erections aren't as firm as they were either. Still, I get plenty hard enough
for JO and oral sex and could probably fuck an accommodating orifice, but
fucking has never been my favorite thing anyhow so no big deal. Naturally,
losing that inch of erectile length made my shaftskin relatively loose again.
The skin was bunching up behind the glans on the up-strokes again and I hated it
(lots of emotional baggage about feeling skin rolling toward the glans). SOOOOO...
Circ
#6, Age 50: Freehand/spinal block by a urologist. I told him that I had an
impaired erectile function and that I wanted 1/2" more shaftskin removed. I
asked him to cut around the existing circ scar (the one in the
"normal" position, smoothing it out as well as he could), then make a
parallel cut 1/2" farther up the shaft (toward the body). That's what he
did and that's where I am today. The doc used a spinal block because he said
that local anesthetics deform the tissue (make it swell) and he wanted to be
accurate.
BTW,
Circs #3 through #6 were all only lightly bandaged. In all cases EXCEPT #6,
there was substantial swelling and bruising. That always went almost completely
away by the second week. I JO'd on the fourth day after each of the last four
go-arounds. Always in a "tucked/fetal" position to minimize the strain
on the stitches. Always focusing on the glans and "neck area"
immediately behind the glans. Always erupting in body-shaking, mind-blowing
orgasms that seemed to get more intense with each pass under the knife.
Anyhow,
I'm pretty happy with how things stand today. There's no shaftskin movement when
I JO with lube, but about 3/4" of play when I do it dry (not my
preference). I've now experienced every level of circumcision tightness except
radically/shiny tight (we've all seen 'em), and I'd really like to experience
that too. I know my penis VERRRY well, and could lose an additional 1/2" on
top and 5/8" on the underside without doing any damage to form or function.
I'd want the "final cut" to follow the current (normally positioned)
circ scar, then (again) have a parallel cut made farther up the shaft toward the
body. The idea would be to have a little extra tightness on the underside, as
that's a real turn-on for me.
Well,
you asked, so there's the story. Gotta say that I've really been enjoying each
evolutionary change. What I've learned in the process is the importance of being
clear with the doc about what you want. Had I spoken up earlier in the game (and
been willing to shop further if the doc said no), my second recirc would have
probably done the trick. The line that I found effective with docs goes
something like this:
·
I view
circumcision as a cosmetic procedure.
·
When
patients seek other cosmetic procedures (like a nose job), the doc asks the
patient what he/she want s the "new" nose to look like.
·
I feel
that I'm entitled to the same consideration with regard to the cosmetic result
of my circumcision.
·
I know
exactly what I want, I've simulated the result with tape and I'm not asking for
anything tighter than many of the neonatal circumcisions I've seen (and
experienced) over the years.
·
As
long as you do a cosmetically neat job, I promise not to come back at you
legally on the off-chance that the result is tighter than I had anticipated.
In closing (at long last), I'd really like to be able to share my final
circumcision experience with like-minded folks (present and watching) and have
it done by a medically-responsible practitioner who's into it cutting a guy back
radically tight and can do a NEAT job of it. Any referrals?

MY RE-CIRCUMCISION X 3
When I was 5 my mother had me circumcised because I had difficulty in retracting my elephant trunk foreskin and as a consequence was constantly getting infections. The circumcision removed only the tip, which left the head covered except for the end. This was enough to facilitate retraction and washing. When I was a teenager I decided to become an explorer and go to Africa. I read that many tribes circumcise their young men as a rite of passage and that they were not considered an adult until they had gone through the ceremony. I realized that I should be circumcised also, so I went to my local doctor for a complete foreskin removal. He actually removed too much on the top which left a gap between the two cut edges. He did not take stitches. When the circ healed I was left with some lumpy scar tissue on the top. I never did go to Africa. This did not bother me until I joined the army where I got a lot of crude remarks about how the operation was done. It was very embarrassing, so I vowed that when I got out of the army I would have it corrected. About 5 years later I went to a surgeon for a proper re-circumcision. He removed the lumps, however the stitches were left in too long and I developed suture tunnels. Fast forward about 35 years. I came across a non-doctor person who does surgical body modifications. My circ had become a little loose so I asked him if he could tighten it and remove the suture tunnels. He said he could, so I decided to proceed. Before going to our appointment, I marked out the area I wanted removed. One edge followed the existing circ scar and the other was over ¼” away. My cutter agreed that the markings were good and gave me shots of local anesthetic. The cutting was done with a scalpel. See the attached photos. No stitches were taken. My penis was coated with an antibiotic cream and wrapped. It took about two weeks to heal. See attached photos. I was amazed that there was only a narrow band of scar tissue and all the tunnels were gone. I was very satisfied with his work.
Third Circ with Tara KLamp
I've
been fascinated with the subject of subject of circumcision since the first
circumcised dick that I saw at around age 10.
I thought that the baring of the head was a natural occurrence that
happened when one became a man since all of the men that I saw at the swimming
pool were circumcised. When I found
out that that was not the case, that it was an operation that was done on
purpose became a hot fantasy for me since I had a very long foreskin that
extended past my tip by at least and inch although it seemed like a foot to me
at the time.
I made up my mind that I wanted a "man's dick" and not a
child's dick. Since I was intimidated by the act of going to a doctor and I was
sure that I'd have to explain my desires to a nurse or receptionist, I concluded
that this was more humiliation than I was willing to endure.
So I decided at about 16 to circumcise myself.
I looked around at the possibilities that I was aware of and concluded
that the biblical method was definitely out....I hated blood especially my own.
I was aware that a tight constriction on skin over a period of time would cause
the skin to die and sluff off with no blood involved; this seemed like a good
possibility to me so I started looking around at common items around my house
that would be suitable for foreskin constriction.
I found the open end of a small hurricane lamp globe was the right
circumference but I would look stupid walking around with a lamp globe on my
dick for three days since that's how long that I thought that it would take for
the skin to die. So I was able to
remove the end and smooth out the sharp edges.
I can't remember how I accomplished that at that age, I must have more
resourceful than I remember. I
placed the lamp globe under my foreskin and started wrapping fishing cord over
my foreskin causing it to be constricted against the circular globe.
Then I remembered the other thing that I disliked even more than blood:
PAIN. Decision time.
How long could I stand this level of pain?
Not for three days. So I
reluctantly decided to remove the cord from the device and look for another less
painful and bloodless method of removing my foreskin.
Since I could find nothing else around the house that would be suitable
for foreskin removal so I decided that a medical doctor was the only viable
solution to my problem. Notice that
circumcision has progressed from fascination to a problem.
I felt that I could not discuss my possible circumcision with my parents
so this was not an option for me.
Besides my father wasn't circumcised so he obviously didn't have any
interest in circumcision. I
couldn't go to a local doctor because either he or his nurse would blab to the
community that I wanted to get circumcised and obviously I was the only teenager
in the history of the world that had this problem so that wasn't an option.
I decided to seek a doctor in a nearby town.
The only one who came to mind was Dr. Darwin who had delivered me.
He wouldn't remember me but I remembered him so he had big thing going
for him: anonymity. I made an
appointment with him. The first
thing that the snippy receptionist wanted to know was why I wanted to see the
doctor. I told her that it was a
private matter. She looked at me in
the eye and she KNEW. I don't know
how she knew but she knew. She made
me sit in the waiting room for hours. I
was the only one waiting. She would
look at me periodically with her knowing look.
I was humiliated and almost left but I knew that if I did it would much
more difficult to face her than in the future than to suffer her stares now.
Finally I was allowed to see the doctor.
He shook my hand and sat down in a chair next to me, not in a chair
behind his desk which made me feel more comfortable.
He then asked "What is the purpose of this visit?"
With all of my courage that I could muster I said that "I wanted to
be circumcised". This was the
first time that I had uttered this magical erotic word to an adult.
I knew how to pronounce it because I'd heard it many times in church.
The ice was broken. He
smiled knowingly and asked me to drop my pants.
He ooed and ahed at the length of my foreskin.
Since he was a doctor and was familiar with these things I knew that I
would be a better person without the looooong foreskin.
When he retracted my foreskin and smiled I knew that I was in good hands
with Dr. Darwin. Since this was the
summer between my Junior and Senior years in high school timing was not a
problem. I made an appointment for
the following week.
I showed up early for the appointment and was met with more knowing
stares from the receptionist and the question "How do you plan to pay for
your circumcision?" in a voice loud enough for anyone else in the waiting
room to have heard if there had been anyone else there. I told her that I had
$50 today and I'd pay the rest on the installment plan.
As I was sitting in the waiting room I was thinking that I was glad that
the doctor wouldn't do my circumcision on the installment plan also. In hind
sight that may not have such a bad experience but I didn't know about such
things then.
Finally the receptionist told me that it was time to see the doctor.
On shaky legs I followed the nurse to a small room where I removed my
clothes and donned a short open backed gown.
Why wasn't it open in the front? He
wasn't going to do anything to my butt. Perhaps I should have put it on
backwards. The doctors assistant
came in and led me to another room where I was told to lie on a thinly covered
icy stainless steel table. The doctor and his assistant (a man thank God) came
in and asked me what method of circumcision, cutting or some sort of ring, that
I wanted. He explained that the ring device would have to stay on for a few days
until it fell off and with still vivid memories to the lamp globe, I decided
that I want to get it cut off and go home bareheaded.
He didn't ask how tightly that I wanted to be circumcised.
He didn't ask me how far up/down my shaft that I wanted my scar.
He didn't ask me if I wanted my frenulum excised.
At that time I probably wouldn't have known anyway. This man was a professional penis remodeler and proceeded to
do his work. I couldn't look, the
blood thing you know. The first
injection stung a little bit but this was minor compared to the alternatives.
The next injections hurt less. The
circumcision proceeded and the only thing that I felt was a little tugging from
time to time. The doctor joked with his assistant about using pinking shears
because it would provide greater friction during intercourse.
I didn't find the comment humorous because I wanted a good clean smooth
circumcision. When the doctor was
finished he wrapped me with many layers of gauze so that the only part of my
penis that I could see was the very tip. This
allowed me to urinate with getting my gauze wet.
I was placed in a recovery room for a couple of hours after which I was
checked for bleeding and allowed to drive myself home.
Up to that point in my life I'd never had car trouble.....that day I did.
About half way home my car died and refused to go anymore. I had to call my father to come and get me and have my car
towed to a garage. On the way home he started asking me why I had gone to a
doctor in another town. I was so
humiliated that I couldn't talk. I
could only shake my head yes or no. So
he started with questions and I would answer.
He eventually asked if I'd been circumcised and I had to answer yes.
We never discussed the subject again after that.
I don't remember any pain that night or anytime later as a result of my
circumcision. I remember walking
tenderly and not making sudden moves. On
the third day it started itching so I removed the gauze and I got an immediate
erection. It was fantastic! It looked great. The stitches stung and itched.
I stood sideways in front of a full length mirror and admired my
remodeled cock....it was no longer just a penis. It was mine and it was glorious and my head was permanently
bare for me to feel and all of the men at the swimming pool to see.
I had a man's cock just like theirs.
It seemed at least twice as big as it was before my circumcision. It
probably was because I went around with a hard on all of the time.
One thing that isn't mentioned often is what I'll call the
"circumcision flair". With
a long tight foreskin the corona is permanently constrained.
After circumcision it is allowed to expand to its normal unrestricted
size. Circumcised men really do
have larger heads than uncircumcised men unless the uncircumcised man can and so
chooses to leave his foreskin permanently retracted.
Mine was so long that it would only stay retraced for a short period of
time.
I started masturbating after the third day and that continued until my
second circumcision. I was really pleased with the look and feel of my newly
remodeled cock. It provided me with
endless hours of pleasure.
Over the years I became aware that the doctor had left me with a crooked
circumcision scar. It was shorter on the right side than on the left.
Also the left side had internal scar tissue that would become irritated
and swollen after moderate activity. I
also became aware of the finer points of circumcision, such as tightness, color
and contrast around the scar , position of the scar on the shaft and whether or
not the frenulum had been removed. I
also became aware that my circumcision was not tight.
I really wanted a tight circumcision.
I started seeking a doctor that would tighten things up.
I found a plastic surgeon in Dallas who did re-circumcisions. I made an appointment. He
removed all of the internal scar tissue and left me with a hairline scar right
where the old scar had been and it was still crooked. My frenulum was still intact but I wasn't much tighter than I
was before he worked on me. He told
me afterwards that if he'd made it much tighter then the stitches would have
probably pulled out. It was an
improvement but definitely not a quantum leap.
I was beginning to decide that it was impossible to get a tight
circumcision as an adult. Again I
started masturbating after the third day.
Since my second circumcision was less than ideal and I’m beginning to
think that as an adult they never are, I’ve been looking at the possibilities
of getting rid of the excess skin. That
doesn’t seem like to much to ask. I’ve
subscribed to the newsgroup ALT.CIRCUMCISION for several months.
This is a rather dull anti-circ group that is only awakened periodically
when Max/David/The Phoenix circumciser posts periodically.
He really creates quite a stir. Max/David is an advocate of the Tara
Klamp. It is simple, bloodless and
relatively safe. Notice that I
didn’t say anything about the P word. I
subscribed to the circlist only recently but I’ve already found many people
who share my values regarding circumcision.
I decided that I wanted to find a source for a Tara Klamp.
I went to their web page but there is no indication
that they sell to the public. I
then found a reference to Bil who offers a Tara Klamp for $26 plus $4.10
shipping for an adult size. I
ordered one on Thursday, October 30, 1997.
On Monday I received the Tara KLamp kit from Bil.
Every time that I looked at it I'd get an erection.
I could just read the words "circumcision device" on the
package and I'd get an erection. When
I took it out of the package and touched it to my cock my head would get bigger
and I'd start precumming. Yesterday
afternoon (Tuesday) after playing
with it I put on a liberal amount of vaseline and I was able to position it
properly and feed a liberal amount of shaft skin into the device and start
tightening it. My intention was to
measure to see where the cut would be. I
left it on for about 20 minutes and marked the lower outside ring but I couldn't
determine where the inner cut would be until I took it off.
When I did it was perfect. The outer ring was more than half way up my,
just at the hair line which has always been a big turn on for me.
The inner depression was just behind my current scar and left all of my
frenulum which is also what I wanted. This
was too good to be true. There
wasn't much pain when I was measuring even when I had it at the tightest....it
was more of a burning sensation.
I decided that the time was right to take the last step.
I went out and bought some extra strength Equate (WalMart brand) and I
found some more Tylenol III and some Codine left over from previous doctor
encounters. I had a large rubber band to place around the arms of the device to
apply constant pressure. I was all
set to go. I sat in my favorite computer chair because sitting provides the
greatest skin exposure. I started
about 6:00 pm. The second time was
much easier to position the device and get the right amount of skin between the
ring and the bell. This step was
totally painless so I didn't take any medication. I put the rubber band on and
let it slowly do all of the work. By
7:00pm the burning started so I took the recommended dose of pain killer and
helped the rubber band a little. It
took a while for the pain killer to start working so I moved to my bed and fell
asleep. I got a phone call about 9:00 and afterward I took some more pain
killer. It was almost closed by
this time and there was a constant burning sensation which would increase every
time that I helped the rubber band. I went back to sleep and woke up around
midnight and it was about 95% closed so I took some more pain killer and decided
that I was going to have to do the last 5% on my own since the rubber band had
broken by now. I needed something
to keep from loosing ground since
it is necessary to apply constant pressure.
I found a tie wrap and it proved to be even better than the rubber band
for keeping constant tension without loosing any grip.
I wish that I'd started out with a tie wrap instead or the rubber band.
By this time the burning sensation was not increasing very much when I
applied more pressure. By 1:00 am I heard one of the arms snap closed and just
barely touching the other one caused it to close also. I got a warm feeling all over.
This is what I'd wanted for so long.
With the medication that I'd taken there was no problem going to sleep.
I
awoke this morning (Wednesday )before sun came up.
There is no pain just consciousness of the presence of the device.
I put on some snug knit boxers and pants. Now the waiting starts...... :)
Thursday
morning saw no change. It is
strange to have to urinate through a tube.
This
morning (Friday) I finally bit the bullet and went all the way and removed the
trapped skin. I actually
circumcised myself with the little knife supplied in the kit.
I was amazed at how tough this supple tender skin is. It was a good thing that I did it this morning because it was
beginning to really turn dark and it was beginning to have an odor.
I should have done this in the first hours after the device was attached.
There was absolutely no pain or blood but it was down right intense to know that
you are cutting a part of your body. I
put alcohol and Vaseline on the remaining tissue.
I plan to remove the clamp tomorrow night or Sunday morning.
On Sunday around noon, five
and one half days after the device had started doing its work,
I started removing the device. There
are two cuts of plastic webbing that
must be made to allow the catches that hold the two pieces together to be
released. I decided to make the
cuts and to get into a warm bath to do the actual release.
This was a good idea since a cold front had come through and you guys
know what happens to male sex organs when they get cold.
Decoupling the two parts was very easy.
The outer part came off and as a result a lot of weight was gone.
The inner part wasn’t ready to come off so I dried it and put some
Vaseline on the dark scab that was stuck to the inner part of the clamp.
I was aware of less pressure and less weight but not much else.
Around 7:00 pm when I got up to urinate the remaining part fell off.
Then the tingling and expansion started.
It was like an insect coming out of its cocoon.
The scab/scar is half way up my shaft and is absolutely perpendicular to
shaft. It is behind my original crooked scar.
It is definitely tighter but I cant determine how tight.
I slept in the fetal position last night and it is a good thing since I
got a rather intense erection during the night.
It will be many days before I can allow an erection in a standing
position. The scab needs to slough
off and the tenderness needs to abate. I
will not be masturbating on the third day this time.
Would I do this again myself? No.
I’d go to a professional or certainly to some with more knowledge than
I have.
Am I glad that it is done? Damn
right. Even in its unfurled state
it is better than it was.

I finally found a good doctor in the Orange County area. His name is Dr. Rheinschild in Anaheim,California. He is going to give me my third circ. I had a very nice high&tight RIC, but a doctor from Kaiser convinced me that I have to have another circumcision done to remove a small area of tightness. The circ the Kaiser doctor did was horrible. The first time I saw my penis, after I took the bandage off, I was in a state of shock. This idiot doctor did the re-circ close to my glans, which left a scar only Frankenstein would like, and left my RIC scar/skin variation were it was. Dr Rheinschild is going to mke all of this mess into one simple little scar, as far away as possible from the glans, with no stitch marks. I will post some before and after pics. I can’t wait for February 1, 2001 so this nightmare can be over with. Thank you circlist for giving me and others “circumcision support”.

Congrats to all the other recently cut members.
I am sure we will all enjoy the new feelings pretty soon!
All my recent postings have centred around the self-circ possibilities etc.
I have been working on some gadget to simplify doing a re-circ and have seen some very interesting ones that have been used by some members. I have also been adamant up to now that I would do a recirc only if I could without going to the docs. Recent events have changed all that. A short while ago I damaged the frenelum and the resulting spot kept tearing, healing, tearing etc. until it had worked its way almost a third of the way down to the shaft. The main “pipe” with I presume the nerves had broken completely and then the tearing stopped. The spot healed nicely over 3 weeks but I could see that the skin was very thin and would likely tear with any rough handling. My wife would not participate in any “blood sports” and the lip that was now formed by the cut skin looked really terrible. Almost like a tongue hanging down from the glans. My GP wanted to just cut the frenelum down to the shaft - imagine what it would have looked like then! He finally made an appointment for me with a local urologist (nice young German fellow ) and he too ( I would think possibly not circed, himself ) also wanted to just cut the frenelum thinking that it was troublesome during intercourse. I explained that if there was going to be cutting ( my reason for seeing him anyway ) I wanted certain things done.1. The whole frenelum area was to be removed and the skin close to the salcus tightened up.
2. A sleeve resection removing at least a 50mm long section.
He said that ( and this I think may be important to all
those needing a revision ) due to possible adhesions in the area of my previous
circ it would be better to start the cutting 1cm from the corona thus removing
most of the inner skin. Here
I think it must obviously be to the patients wishes.
I had no trouble with this and since the inner skin has always been soft
and I possibly easily stretched over time I agreed to this.
All our friends that suffer from the dreaded rollover of skin just
covering the rim of the glans or bunching up when flaccid know how I feel
wanting to get all skin away from the glans.
You continously feel like been wrapped ( as one listmember put it ) up in
connon wool.
At
this point I want to thank the site owner for creating this wonderful forum
that has made it possible for me - and I am sure many others - to
approach the medical profession totally unembarrassed and wholly informed. I dreaded (at 55 years old ) even talking to the doc. never
mind stating exactly what I wanted.
The op was performed with just a local. and because of it being a recirc
took longer than a first time job since he had to work around previous adhesions
etc. That is also the reason
why there is more bruising this time round but all will settle in time. I had a wonderful conversation with the urol and his wife (
who assisted ) and was completely at ease throughout. The pic was taken this
a.m. For any
first timers - I hope the pic does not upset but it is better to see these
things, I do not want to go on forever and will possibly keep you posted with
pics of the recovery. This is 18
hours after the op and no pain other than from the taught skin at the swelling -
but only when touched . To all our
other “old timer friends” - go for it!!!! You only live once guys.
As you know, I had the sleeve resection done.
Some adhesions had to be loosened and being just a local there was no cauterizing
equip. available so minor bleeding was a prob.
All OK now after a few rough days with swelling
- however NO PAIN. I did not
use the pain pills provided since no need.
After day three the glans became very engorged near the meatus ( almost
turned inside out ) and I was worried that the skin being under pressure would
scuff
and then that would have been a sore spot indeed!
Fears unfounded and now day 8 pics show result.
The scar looks very open? and rough so I hope it will all smoothen out
OK. When I did my Selfcirc in
1978 I did not have nearly as much swelling and remember I went to work the next
5 days. Maybe time dims these
memories!. I told the Urologist I
want the circ, only if he removed the loose skin and the frenulum and also a
50mm sleeve. I
suppose since I am 55 he just wanted to cut the fren. down and tie up the loose
ends. Maybe I am the oldest Re-circ
on the list??
I do not wish to persuade anyone to choose removing the
fren or not - that must be a well thought through decision but I had found that
after the initial wound healed (
the fren scuff ) I was slightly less sensitive and sexual activity lasted much
longer than usual. The end
was spectacular - much more intense.
Any similar findings??
Please post tips on post-op treatment of scarline - Use of vit.E etc. I am sure all our recent cut guys will appreciate any useful info there may be.
HenriYou all must be tired of seeing my old member. Just maybe our pics are useful for the new and soon to be cut chaps. It is day 9 after my re-circ and the wound looks much scruffier than I can recall my first one did. We shall see what the end result is as far as scar etc. Maybe comments are in order from some recently cut and healed chaps. The urologist used Chromium ( I presume catgut treated with chromium salts to retard dissolving ) sutures and I feel there was no sign of dissolving. The intermediate areas are well joined and only where the sutures were was there any slight infection and redness. I have a pic of the top and one side where there is one last remaining suture that is buried too deep ( Maybe it was for a bleeder? ) so I will have to leave it be.
I am sure that Jenks, Trent and others will also like
some comments on the healing process and time taken for matters to return to
normal. I had a low / tight
cut 15 days ago ( 20/10/2000) and the cut line has joined nicely with no
remaining “wet” spots. The
tissues are still swollen and between the cut and the glans they are fairly
hard. I started applying
VitaminE 1000 iu’s twice daily as from day 12 and am amazed at the speed at
which gaps closed up. I am
sure the vitE ( which is an ingredient
in many skin rejuvenating / scar reduction preparations ) does all it is claimed
to do. My wife is fantastic and an
expert in applying and gently massaging the oil into the affected areas :).
Maybe this is the best therapy!!.
Up until yesterday I had one remaining suture ( that was buried deep -
possibly to tie off a bleeder ) and I just could not remove it as the knot was
buried by then. When I tried lifting it I saw the raw hole still far
from closing so I pulled and cut it short, applied Cortisone cream and then the
VitaminE. This a.m. it has closed
completely! I shudder to
think what it would have been like had I not removed the sutures myself on day 9
- the whole cut would still have been raw at the suture sites. There must be many ( of the 700 odd registered members ) who
have had similar frenulum removals etc. Share
your memories with us and any guys contemplating being cut soon - I am sure
the time taken to heal completely is uppmost in their minds.
Regards to all and rapid healing to all still in the
process.
The superficial healing is nearly complete except for the
frenulum area that should according to the Urol still flatten out.
At present there is a noticible ridge where the 3 sutures were - from the
corona to the scar line. I
asked the Urol to tighten the skin below the glans when he excised the frenulum
so I presume this is the join although I cannot say why it has a marked ridge.
If it does not atrophy or flatten soon I will ask him to remove it,
Attached pics of normal view.
The scar is still slightly hard and the skin on the glans side is
slightly raised in some places as can be seen between where the sutures were.
The other pic shows tight skin when erect with very
little movement possible. Arrow
points to area where there is still hard tissue under the skin ( like a cord
around the shaft ) that will take about 6 months to disappear according to the
Urol.
A revision seems to be not as simple as a first time cut so I must echo all other advice to take care and watch for infection. It seems that in most of the revision jobs stitches are put in to tie off veins under the skin andthese seem to be the ones that are bothersome.
Thanks for all comments and advice received up to this point. Speedy healing to all our fellow newly-cuts.
