What is ICQ and how does it relate to CIRCLIST?
The idea behind ICQ is to have a chat room for any Circlist member to chat with another member. Also, ICQ will let you have group meeting with any member that has ICQ and is online at the same time. ICQ is better than AOL Instant Messenger because AOL Instant Messenger does not let you have group chat rooms like with ICQ. ICQ can be set to let you know when others are online to chat directly or as a group. Also, it will let you send the other users messages even if they are not online.After you download and install ICQ it will put a little icon in your system taskbar that will recognize when you are online and off. It will turn on when you are online and go into sleep mode when you are offline. When installing ICQ you need to be online connected to the internet. Even if you have AOL. Just get connected to AOL, then minimize the program and install ICQ. After you install it you will be assigned an UIN identification number. This is the number that you can give to other ICQ members. You can get ICQ for any computer. This includes Windows 3.1, 95, 98 and NT, Macintosh and UNIX.
